Scholarships
Choral scholarships to sing about
Côr Dyfed are offering keen young singers a chance to perform in some of the great works in the choral repertoire.
Singers between the ages of 16 and 25 are invited to apply for Choral Scholarships which offer both a year's free membership of Dyfed Choir and up to £240 towards singing lessons for the year.
The scholarships aim to provide young people the opportunity to perform an exciting range of works, many with an orchestra in St Davids Cathedral, as part of a long-established mixed choir.
Application forms are available from Cathy Arthur, New Creamson, Uzmaston, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire SA62 4PA and from the links below. These should be returned as soon as possible.
The Choir is looking to provide an opportunity for aspiring amateur singers, and invites applications from all.   Auditions and interviews are by appointment, and successful applicants will start their choral year in September.

Singers
The Choir welcomes new singers, patrons and friends. Membership includes the provision of music copies. Choir dress code is black dresses for women and black tie for men - these are not provided. The hallmarks of the Choir are a passion for great music and commitment to a high standard of performance. Members travel weekly to rehearsal from all parts of West Wales. New members join us for approx four rehearsals and are given a straightforward audition.

Rehearsals are held every Tuesday night 7:30 - 9:30 pm at the Bloomfield Centre, Narberth, Pembs. It is centrally placed for both Carmarthen, Haverfordwest, Cardigan and Tenby.

Patrons

The Choir relies on the support of Patrons who generously provide most necessary finance. An annual contribution (£25 minimum) allows Patrons to book concert seats early, and join in many of the Choir activities. In 2009 Patrons and Choristers have enjoyed a superb summer barbecue - in blazing sunshine - at Llanychaer near Fishguard, and a Choir 'Book Breakfast' in a fantastic house near Picton Castle... events which provide a great opportunity for people to get to know each other. Patrons are very much part of the Choir and are welcomed to all these events.

Becoming a Patron of The Dyfed Choir requires an application form which can be downloaded from HERE - PATRONS APPLICATION
